OUR MISSION

“I know how hard it is to fight cancer as a child, first hand. My mission for the Sadie Keller Foundation is to put a smile on the faces of children fighting cancer all over the country, and remind them to keep fighting by giving them special gifts, to raise awareness for childhood cancer, and to make a HUGE impact.”

– Sadie Keller

MILESTONE GIFTS

Sadie knows far too well how difficult this journey is. Being sick means sacrificing a normal childhood for countless hospital stays, getting poked and prodded, and suffering through long days of chemotherapy. So, Sadie created Milestone Gifts to celebrate milestones in the treatment of other children and to encourage them to stay strong.

Big milestones include end of chemo, end of radiation, nearing remission, leaving the hospital after a long stay, or overcoming a very difficult procedure. A big gift for a big milestone tells a child how proud we are of their fight against cancer. Sadie’s dream is to get a Milestone Gift into the hands of each child at some point during their treatment. Donations directly help this dream become a reality.

SADIE’S SLEIGH

In late 2015, Sadie asked her oncologist if Santa would come to the hospital on Christmas Eve. She worried that Santa would go to the homes of the children in the hospital instead, leaving them without presents on Christmas morning. So Sadie created a toy drive called Sadie’s Sleigh at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas to make sure each child would still have a special day despite being in the hospital.

Sadie’s Sleigh now works with four local children’s hospitals: Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Children’s Medical Center in Plano, Medical City Children’s Hospital, and Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth. Each year since 2015, the number of toys collected for Sadie’s Sleigh has grown and greatly surpassed her goals thanks to donations from people like you.
